I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of your Confidential Despatch of the 19th. June in which you

enclosed drafts of revised Letters Patent and Instructions for this

Colony, and asked for any observations I might have to offer in

regard to them.

2.

I have no observations to make on the draft

Letters Patent except to remark that I consider the new provisions

for the suspension of members of the Executive and Legislative

Councila very desirable.

3.

I concur in the insertion of the new Clauses

XVII and XVIII in the Instructions.

4.

With regard to Clause XXXII I presume that the arrangement approved in Mr. Harcourt's Desp-tch No. 60 of the 8th. March, 1912, will remain in force.
